January Ends
A month ago, it was a different year - 2011. 2011 was a year full of make-ups, break-ups, arrival of new things and to me, that year sucked. Majorly. Although, truly speaking, the year's ending was rather fine. I had this amazing Christmas party with my friends and I stayed at my cousin's place (From where, I'd typed my last post.). Now, on the other hand, it is 2012, the year we all might die - the earth might die. An entire month has passed and still, I cannot make out any signs of the world ending. There are no asteroids, major disasters. At least, that's how I think the world might end. To be very frank, I think whoever spread this rumour of the world ending in 2012 is a total idiot who needs spanking with a hairbrush. I mean, really! Even though we humans have been mercilessly exploiting our mother nature, the extent isn't that much as we could fathom. We're still getting oxygen, right? We're still getting water right? We're still getting the sun, right?
Okay, don't go thinking around that I'm saying that we should exploit more of the environment. We shouldn't. That is plain wrong. I mean, if the mother nature is respecting us by nurturing and caring for us, we should give it some respect, should we not? But now-a-days, I don't see any respect towards nature - or any other thing.
Yeah, I'm talking of bullying. Bullying is something I find to be very disturbing. Children of my age often mix up the terms bullying and teasing. Teasing is playfully making fun of people while bullying is a more complex thingy. In bullying, you are mentally and sometimes physically abused by your peers - mostly 'cause you are more special than them.
People have teased me - oh, yes, - but I've never had an experience of being bullied. Being bullied is something that you wouldn't want for your Santa's Wish List, frankly speaking.
Anyway, so, where was I? Yeah, 2012.
2012's beginning was very dull and tedious for me. But the later part became exciting. On the day of 26th January, I had my first violin performance.
Hey, don't call me a geek. I'm SO not a geek! I mean, geeks are those who think that they can't dare. But I for one dared to have my first performance and people praised my performance.
I mean, getting praised is what I like. I don't really want to get awards. I just liked being flattered.
Is it my flaw or something? Yeah, you could say that.
I have this tendency to you know, be easily flattered and blush even if a person calls me 'okay'. Also, I even have this tendency to act like I know everything (I seriously don't).
This is very, very dangerous, yet I can't help it! :-/
2012's not rough for me. Nor is it a pleasurable journey. It's just another year which has got a lot of things stored in for me.
Oh, and P.S, I guess, 2012 is also the dawn for a lot of realizations, such as how Facebook isn't great. Up until 2010-2011, I thought Facebook was the biggest thing, but 2012 made me realize that Facebook is a space for peeps who only love to seek attention and snoop on their 'friends'. And this year also made me realize that being popular in your school is not the only thing in the world.
I dunno about you lot, but I find my views to be very different from the others.
