Freaky Friday Review
Yeah, so I saw Freaky Friday starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis yesterday.
Don't give me such weird stares (Which I know you're giving once you read the first sentence). The movie was released when I was, what, a six-year-old kid.

So now, I begin with the review.

Freaky Friday (2003) is one of the most hilarious movies I've ever seen. And trust me, it's miles away from Snow White and the Huntsman.
SUMMARY:
The story's about Anna Coleman (Lindsay Lohan) and her mother, Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) whose souls get exchanged and this ensues a lot of chaos. Anna is a rebellious teenager who has a band (something which her mother hates and terms as "noise") and has many problems that most teens today have to face: a pesky younger sibling, a parent's remarriage, a mean witch who constantly tries to embarrass her (ah, she isn't the only one in that criteria) and a teacher who has this unknown vendetta against her (another thing that's happened to me in school).
The main thing is, Anna and her mother have a rocky relationship.
When the entire family goes out to eat at a Chinese restaurant, Anna and Tess start bickering (in a private corner). Seeing this, the owner's mother gives them fortune cookies. When they open their fortune cookies, an earthquake occurs which only the mother and daughter can feel.
The next morning, they somehow find themselves swapped in each other's bodies. That was one of the best scenes I've seen in the movie. The confusion, the frustration, the horror to discover each other in different bodies - Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis captured it purr-fectly!
The worst part about the day is, it's a Friday and it's the day of Tess' wedding rehearsal and Anna's band's audition.
So, we get to see how much chaos ensues as Tess tries to act a lot more like her rebellious daughter (failing miserably) and Anna (doesn't) try to act like a reputed psychiatrist who's just got a new book released.

WHAT I LIKED THE MOST:
Everything.
This movie was amazing, right from its sarcastic humor to the actors' performance, Freaky Friday is an amazing movie which every girl must definitely see with her mother.
The way Lohan and Curtis portray their characters and then how they act after the swap: that was CLASSIC. You just simply CAN'T criticize them, especially Jamie Lee Curtis, who was one of the best parts of this movie. One of my favourite scenes was this:
And that's the kind of thing that happens at my house everyday... only, my mom and I haven't swapped bodies. :P
This was also fantastic:
Anna's brother, Harry, was really cute but annoying! His mother thinks he's really innocent (Well, who wouldn't?) while his sister knows what's behind that sweet face. Despite his mischievous attitude, he really cares about his sister - which makes me feel so sad because I don't have a sibling.
And how could I forget THIS DIALOGUE?

I loved this movie a lot! It's a must watch for every girl and woman! Will definitely plan to see it again with my mom.
Thanks for hearing me out,
