Book Fangirling Blogger Award! :D
You might be wondering where I must have disappeared off to, eh?
I have my final exams going on right now, so I disappeared for a while.
And now, I'm back with a really short, quick post which is the Book Fangirling Blogger Award!
I got nominated for this award by the lovely Adriana Gil, who runs the blog 'Everything You Like'! Her blogposts range from awesome-sauce anime reviews to vivid descriptions of her experiences! So, do check out her blog, dear reader!
So, in this blogger award, we are supposed to answer the questions given out by the person who nominated us (in my case, it's Adriana) and then nominate five other people who will answer questions made by us!
Here goes nothing! :)
1. What's your favorite book?
Honestly speaking, this is a tough question.
I've been reading books since I was nine years old and there have been so many books that have had a deep impact about my mentality and my personality.
But, I think, my all-time favourite book would be The Diary Of A Young Girl - the true life story of Annelies Marie Frank.
I read the book when I was eleven, after my mom gifted it to me as she wanted me to know about Anne's poignant story of hiding inside the confined 'secret annexe' and how some people in the world can be so cruel that a lot of innocent lives are lost in their greed for power.
I think this book really had a huge impact on me, dear reader. As I read her diary, I wasn't thinking of Anne as a tragic heroine but as a girl who was close to my age and whose strong, upbeat personality could really motivated me to be more mature and upbeat about life.
2. What type of books do you usually read?
I am not a very judgmental person when it comes to reading books.
I don't choose a specific genre before choosing a book but the books I generally read are the ones with a really gripping story, compelling characters and the books should make me feel, "Whoa, that was one hell of a crazy ride!"
3. What is the one and only book that you can't live without?
This is a tough one.
I have many books that I cannot live without!
The Diary Of A Young Girl, all the books by Roald Dahl, the St. Claire's series, Sparkling Cyanide, Gone Girl, the entire Harry Potter series, The Help, the entire Percy Jackson series, Fault In Our Stars, Anna Karenina (which I have to read properly but ah well) and TOO MANY OTHER BOOKS TO NAME!
4. Would you like to write one?
I'd really love to write a book, honestly speaking. That is, after I improve my writing skills up a huge notch.
(Because truth be told, I am at a very basic level when it comes to writing and there is a lot of room for improvement!)
But I hope I write a story that isn't very stereotypical and makes the other person go, "Oh God, haven't I like, read this before?"
I don't want to write a bestseller but I'd love to write a book that really impacts a few people in ways that they go, "Whoa, that book was awesome and it really made me feel good!"
5. Tell me what was the book that made you dream and still does to these days?
I always dreamed, to be honest. My dad always quoted Abdul Kalam, saying "Children, you dream. You dream BIG."
But after reading books by Roald Dahl, Enid Blyton's Mystery Series, Harry Potter and Eva Ibbotson's Star of Kazan, my dreaming skills increased like crazy. And even today, I dream of bright, mystical lands with crazy people and a weird storyline to go along with it!

With this, I'm done answering these really nice questions!
I'd like to nominate the following awesome-sauce bloggers:
Eve @ Pen & Key
Saee @ Wonderland
Kathie @ A Sea Change
And my questions for these people are:
1. If you were stuck in an island, what book would you like to read?
2. Which was the last book you read?
3. Which was the book that had a strong impact upon you?
4. Which book would you recommend to everybody, regardless of their preferences and tastes?
5. When did you start reading and who motivated you to read?

| You're supposed to put the badge on your blog! :D |
Hope these questions are entertaining enough! :D
Stay awesome as ever,
Much love,
Archie <3

This is such a nice tag! I really want to write a book too and while you wanted to impact people with your book, I want to write a horror book and make them cry >:D
ReplyDeleteI just really want to read a decent horror book and I haven't found one yet, so that's why I decided to write one instead xD not that I've started writing, no.
Have a nice day

Hi Catalina!
DeleteA horror book sounds like a lovely idea! I love, love, love scaring people too! If you do publish it, I'll be one of your readers! :)
Stay awesome as ever,
Much love,
Archie <3
Ah thank you for the nomination Archie!! I've started the Diary of Anne Frank so many times, but I've just never gotten through it. Maybe I should. There are so many moving books out there, and I feel like I haven't read very many of them. I guess reading has been more about cool stories than learning something new about life.

Stay awesome as ever,
Much love,

I read Anne Frank-The Diary of a young girl when I was 12 years old. It was a part of my 8th standard English curriculum. I didn't attempt to read it ahead of my class. I enjoyed every two to three chapters that were read and discussed in each class.
ReplyDeleteEnding the book left me with a heavy heart.
Godspeed
Hello again Archie!
